Barbados-born racer Kyffin Simpson will race in Indy Pro 2000 with Juncos Racing this year, in addition to his already announced Formula Regional Americas campaign with TJ Speed.

Simpson raced karts in America for several years before moving into car racing in United States Formula 4 with Velocity Racing Development last year. He then stepped up to FRegional Americas, which he will contest the full 2021 season in.

His IP2000 programme will take in the Barber Motorsports Park season opener, the oval race at Lucas Oil Raceway, and the two-race rounds at Road America, Mid-Ohio and Toronto.

“I am very excited to be working with Juncos Racing,” said Simpson.

“The team has so much experience and success in the Road to Indy program, not to mention winning the Indy Pro 2000 title multiple times. IP2000 is a great championship and I can’t wait to drive the car in our upcoming tests.”

The 16-year-old is the team’s second signing for 2021 after Reece Gold, who was a race-winner in USF2000 last year.

“We are thrilled to add Kyffin to Juncos Racing and are ready to begin our work with him this season in the Indy Pro 2000 series,” Juncos Racing team owner Ricardo Juncos said.

“He is young and has great experience, and we look forward to beginning a great relationship and building on his career through our team driver development programme.

“We want to thank Kyffin and his family for the opportunity to have him a part of our family here at Juncos Racing.”
