Championship leader Marvin Kirchhofer posted the quickest time in the Friday practice session in German F3’s second visit to Nurburgring of the 2013 season.

The German driver managed 18 laps around the track, clocking in with the best time of 1:20.096. Emil Bernstorff, another Lotus driver, was two tenths off the benchmark in second, while third went to Artem Markelov, half a second slower than the leader.

With the usual Lotus dominance, it was Gustavo Menezes who went quickest out of the other teams’ cars, taking fourth. Performance Racing’s John Bryant-Meisner and Thomas Jager followed in fifth and sixth respectively, while Nabil Jeffri and Jordi Weckx rounded out the top ten.

In the Trophy class, Sebastian Balthasar was the pacesetter, two seconds ahead of his main rival Freddy Killensberger.
