Kiko Porto, the 2021 USF2000 champion, will stay with DEForce Racing for his second season in USF Pro 2000 next year.
Porto finished seventh in the standings in his rookie season, taking a maiden win at Mid-Ohio and making the podium twice at the Portland season finale.
His new contract will mark his fourth year with DEForce, having driven for the team for two seasons in USF2000. He won one race in his incomplete rookie campaign, then claimed four victories on course to the 2021 title.
“So happy to continue with the Blue family,” said Porto. “Looking forward to achieving the same success we had in the past. Thanks to DEForce Racing for giving me this opportunity once again. Let’s finish in the best way.”
DEForce has also made a new signing for its USF2000 squad, promoting Maxwell Jamieson from its USF Juniors line-up. Jamieson contested the second half of the 2021 United States Formula 4 season with the team, then moved across to USF Juniors and came 15th in the new championship.
“I am excited to continue driving with DEForce for 2023,” said Jamieson. “We have gone a long way together, and I am excited to see what we can do for this year.”
USF Juniors’s 2023 grid is growing too, as the series switches from F4 cars to a car based on the same underpinnings as the USF2000 one.
Max Taylor has signed to race for Velocity Racing Development after a successful year in karting which included coming third in the SuperKarts USA Pro Tour for X30 Junior karts.
