Series returnee Jazeman Jaafar has topped qualifying on his comeback to British F3, narrowly beating teammate Jordan King to the top of the timesheets over the 30-minute session.
The Briton took an early lead in the session and would stay on top of the timesheets right up to the closing stages of qualifying.
King’s fellow regulars at Carlin also found themselves in the mix for positions at the top, eventually settling in behind the leading duo. Nicholas Latifi took third, while Jann Mardenborough secured fourth in a late run of flyers.
Antonio Giovinazzi was the best out of the non-Carlin runners in fifth. Felipe Guimaraes ran among the Carlin cars early on in the session, but eventually fell out of the leading group, taking sixth ahead of? his teammate Will Buller.
Team West-Tec’s Ed Jones was untouchable in the National Class qualifying, clearing his competitors by almost a second.
