USF2000 Winterfest champion Nico Jamin has taken pole position for the second round of the regular season at NOLA Motorsports Park.

The Frenchman prevailed in a tightly-contested pole battle with Cape teammate Aaron Telitz, eventually beating the Wicsonsin driver with a late flyer.

Championship leader Jake Eidson was close behind Telitz in third, himself followed by the John Cummiskey Racing duo of rookies – Jordan Lloyd and Anthony Martin.

Victor Franzoni led the session early on but will start just sixth, while Parker Thompson edged Keyvan Andres Soori for seventh by 0.02s.

Luke Gabin and Yufeng Luo will complete the top ten on the grid.
