18-year-old Austrian Thomas J?ger will race for Performance Racing in the ATS Formel 3 Cup in 2013.
The young Austrian steps up from the ADAC Formel Masters, finishing fifth overall and taking one win at Oschersleben in 2012. The youngster has set himself the goal of winning the championship but know that it will not be easy, ?I think a lot of very good drivers will participate this season. This became obvious during the tests in Valencia, we all finished within a few tenth of a second.?
Performance Racing team boss Bobby Issazadhe believes that J?ger has what it takes to challenge for the title in his rookie season, ?Thomas is very ambitious, motivated and hardworking and testing has shown great speed. We have every reason to believe that Thomas will be racing for the title in ATS Formula 3 Cup.?
The Silverstone based team ran four different drivers last season with Australian Mitchell Gilbert finishing the strongest in fourth place overall and second in the SONAX Rookie-Pokal.
The 2013 ATS Formel 3 Cup kicks off at Oschersleben on April 27th and 28th.
