Timmy Pagliuso, a tyre changer for Takuma Sato in IndyCar, will combine his pit crew duties with a USF2000 race seat at Mid-Ohio this weekend.
Pagliuso is Sato?s right-rear tyre changer on his Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing car, and he will continue with this role this weekend while also competing in each USF2000 session for Legacy Autosport.
It will be the first time since the Grand Prix of Indianapolis in May that Legacy Autosport has run two cars, with Zach Holden driving the Number 14.
Pagliuso will be sponsored by Turtle Plastics, as an initiative for the Laps for Legacy program. Each lap Pagliuso completes will see him raise funds for the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation.
Ahead of his debut, Paglusio will take part in three test sessions on Thursday, with free practice taking place on Friday.
Pagliuso got his first experience of the USF2000 car back in June in two sessions at Mid-Ohio.
?I am very thankful to both Legacy Autosport and Turtle Plastics for their support these past couple of months as we have worked hard to put this deal together,? said Pagliuso.
?I am fortunate to have been able to join Legacy Autosport for testing at Mid-Ohio for some extra practice time and to begin building my working relationship with all of the team members.?
