James Higgins took his second British Formula 4 win of the Donington Park weekend from Deagen Fairclough in the reversed-grid race.

The Rodin driver made a good start from third to take the race lead and was unchallenged through the remainder of the race, while Faircough fought his way up from 12th on the grid.

Polesitter Max Dodds got a poor getaway, dropping back into the mid-pack. That meant he was caught up in an opening lap incident that also took out Zack Scoular and left Rodin drivers Alex Ninovic and Jack Sherwood with damage. The safety car was called out to clear the two stranded cars while the Rodin pair came to the pits for a new nose cone and tyre respectively.

Racing resumed with 11 minutes on the clock. Chloe Chong was running second, but immediately came under attack from Ella Lloyd and Rowan Campbell-Pilling, who had climbed up from 11th to fourth in the opening-lap drama. A lock up for Chong sent her tumbling down the order.

Campbell-Pilling then began pressuring Lloyd for second, but came under attack from the charging Fairclough. He ran wide, slipping down to eighth and allowing the championship leader to move up to third. Lloyd put up a good fight, but was unable to keep Fairclough behind her. He came through to finish a second ahead of Lloyd, who secured her third podium finish of the season.

Kai Daryanani took fourth ahead of Reza Seewooruthun. Sherwood managed to climb up to sixth on track, but a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits dropped him back to 10th, behind Yuanpu Cui and out of the points.

The penalty promoted the recovering Ninovic into eighth, allowing him to take a point for the position. Leo Robinson was promoted to sixth, with Campbell-Pilling eventually coming home seventh.
