French Formula 4 championship leader Caio Collet will join Prema for the final round of the ADAC series at Hockenheim this weekend.
The 16-year-old?Brazilian is a protege of Charles Leclerc’s manager Nicolas Todt, and won the revived Volant Winfield award at the start of this year before moving into French F4.
He leads the standings by 50.5 points over Arthur Leclerc following two wins at Magny-Cours earlier this month.
?I?m really happy to race with a great team like Prema,” Collet said.
“It will be a nice experience for me, racing for the first time in the ADAC F4 championship and I?m looking forward to it. I?m grateful for this opportunity and I can?t wait to hit the track.?
The ADAC F4 title has already been secured by US Racing driver Lirim Zendeli, although second place is still up for grabs, and currently occupied by Prema’s Enzo Fittipaldi. Prema also has a distant chance of winning the teams’ cup.
In addition to Fittipaldi, Prema has run Olli Caldwell and Gianluca Petecof on a full-time basis this season, and Red Bull junior Jack Doohan in selected events around his British F4 programme.
