The entry list for the first FIA Formula 3 Championship post-season test at Jerez includes Formula Regional Europe champion Rafael Camara and Italian Formula 4 dominator Freddie Slater.

Ferrari junior Camara lines up not with Prema – the team he has raced for during his entire car racing career so far – but with rival outfit Trident which has taken Leonardo Fornaroli and Gabriel Bortoleto to the last two titles. He tests alongside Charlie Wurz and Noah Stromsted, who have both been announced as racing for the team next year.

Prema’s two confirmed 2025 racers – McLaren-backed Ugo Ugochukwu and Brando Badoer – are joined for the test by Noel Leon, who finished 10th in the F3 standings this year driving for Van Amesfoort Racing.

Slater will test for Rodin Motorsport alongside GB3 champion Louis Sharp – already confirmed as stepping up with the team for next year – plus Roman Bilinski, who has the spent the last three years racing in the Formula Regional European Championship with Trident.

Camara’s three closest rivals in FREC will all be in action. James Wharton and Tuukka Taponen both test for ART Grand Prix alongside its continuing driver Laurens van Hoepen, while Alessandro Giusti – who has raced for ART in FREC this year – tests for MP Motorsport. Taponen made a one-off appearance with ART at Spa this year in place of the suspended Nikola Tsolov, while Wharton drove for Hitech at Silverstone, replacing Martinius Stenshorne in similar circumstances.

Red Bull junior Tim Tramnitz continues with MP for the test with the team’s line-up completed by one of its Eurocup 3 racers, Bruno del Pino.

Like Prema and Trident, Hitech has confirmed two of its race drivers for next year with Stenshorne and Xie joined for the test by former AIX racer Joshua Dufek. At Campos, the confirmed Mari Boya and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak are joined on day one by Jesse Carrasquedo before Tsolov takes over for day two. VAR had previously revealed that Carrasquedo would join its roster on day two, taking over Theophile Nael alongside John Bennett and Ivan Domingues.

Jenzer Motorsport continues to field cars in post-season testing even though it is leaving the series at the end of the year with DAMS expected to take its place. Matias Zagazeta remains with the team, alongside Eurocup-3 title contender Christian Ho and Alpine-connected FREC racer Nicola Lacorte. The Eurocup-3 leader Javier Sagrera tests for AIX Racing together with long-time rival Jose Garfias and Niels Koolen, who recently contested Formula 2 rounds with the team at Monza and Baku.

Notable omissions from the first test who raced in F3 this year include McLaren junior Alex Dunne and Rodin race winner Callum Voisin plus Sami Meguetounif and Santiago Ramos, who both raced for Trident this term.
