DHL’s switching of its IndyCar sponsorship from Andretti Global to Chip Ganassi Racing for the next few years is not set to impact Andretti’s Indy Nxt driver Jamie Chadwick.

The three-time W Series champion stepped up to Indy Nxt this year in a DHL-sponsored car run by Andretti, and has already confirmed she will stay with the team in the series next year. During her rookie campaign, she had a best finish of sixth and came 12th in the standings.

DHL Express Americas’s CEO Mike Parra spoke to media following the announcement of the Ganassi switch about how the international postal brand will continue to be involved with Chadwick’s career despite stopping sponsorship of her team.

“We were a big part of bringing Jamie over to Andretti Autosport and lining up Michael [Andretti] and myself on bringing women into the IndyCar series or the Indy Nxt series,” explained Parra.

“We’re going to be doing an ambassadorship role with [Jamie in 2024], which was the original intention of when we spoke to her a couple of years ago. We’ve been following Jamie for five years, my team has. So we’ll be doing an ambassadorship role with her inside of the series, but more importantly outside the series.”

As for the possibility of working with Chadwick in IndyCar in the future, specifically within Ganassi’s fold, Parra added:

“You can never say never. You can never say never with Jamie. And from an ambassador standpoint, we’re already working with her. So we’ll see, we’ll see when we get there.”
