Christian Brooks will spend a third season with Exclusive Autosport as he steps up to Indy Pro 2000 full-time after debuting in the series late last year.

The 21-year-old spent the past two years in USF2000 with the team, winning both races in St. Petersburg last year and taking a pole on Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course before his results tailed off and he ended up sixth in the points.

His final placing was in part down to skipping the final round at Mid-Ohio as he moved up to IP2000 for that weekend instead, and finishing fifth in his two races with Exclusive meant he ended up 17th in that championship.

“What an honour to be back behind the wheel of the Exclusive Autosport Indy Pro 2000 machine,” said Brooks.

“The team had such a great season last year and I’m ready to continue the success. Now it’s head down until St. Petersburg next month.”

Before racing on the Road to Indy, Brooks was a champion karter and runner-up in the Lites category of Global Rallycross and then the Americas Rallycross Championship in 2017 and 2018. He debuted in single-seaters in 2019 with United States Formula 4 team Jay Howard Driver Development and picked up two wins on the way to the third in the points.

In IP2000 he will partner Euroformula runner-up Louis Foster in Exclusive’s line-up.

“We are pleased to welcome Christian back with Exclusive Autosport for 2022 for a third season,” Exclusive’s team principal Michael Duncalfe said.

“Christian got a taste of the IP2000 last year at the final round at Mid-Ohio and performed really well. The car suits his driving style, and I am confident we will come out of the gates strong at St. Petersburg. We are really looking forward to getting the season underway and going to work to defend the team championship.”
