Cammish ahead of Scott and Kruger in final Oulton race

by Peter Allen

Dan Cammish extended his unbeaten start to the 2013 Formula Ford GB season to 12 races with victory in the final encounter at Oulton Park ahead of Harrison Scott and Jayde Kruger.

Cammish made a superb start to open up a huge three second gap by the end of the first lap, extending that to over six seconds at one stage before crossing the line with a 5.3s margin.

After the jump start that initially put him into the lead of the second race, Scott made no such mistakes this time to claim his second P2 finish of the season. Kruger finished close behind as he ended a promising debut weekend with a second podium.

Andy Richardson moved up into fourth place on the opening lap and held onto the position until the end, albeit with no more than half a second between him and Sam Brabham behind during the second half of the race until Brabham ran wide on the final lap, allowing JTR team-mate Camren Kaminsky through into fifth.

James Abbott was seventh with Argentine Jamun pairing Juan Rosso and Nico Maranzana completing the order nose-to-tail. Just getting to the flag was enough for Maranzana to hold onto the best-of-the-rest spot behind Cammish in the standings, albeit with only two points in hand over Scott.
