Northern Irish driver Will Buller will make his debut appearance in Formula Renault 3.5, joining Mihai Marinescu for next weekend’s Moscow Raceway outing.
Buller, 20, is a full-time driver in both European F3 and British F3 with Fortec, leading the latter series.
“I’ve been following Will for a while and now that he was on the market, I’m happy he accepted our offer with enthusiasm”, said team boss Claudio Corradini.? “We will do our best to enable him to do well on his Formula Renault 3.5 debut.”
Throughout his career, Buller has won races in Formula BMW Pacific, the Toyota Racing Series, British F3, European F3 and GP3 among other series. He rose to prominence last year, taking a spectacular reverse-grid GP3 win at Silverstone from last on the grid and fighting for the F3 Euro Series title. Buller started the 2013 year as part of T-Sport, but quit the team, citing a lack of results, and subsequently joined Fortec.
Zeta Corse, meanwhile, has not had a stable lineup in 2013’s Formula Renault 3.5, with none of the drivers representing the team at every round so far. Apart from Buller and Marinescu, the team had already enlisted the services of Matheo Tuscher, Carlos Sainz, Jr., Nick Yelloly and Emmanuel Piget throughout the year.
