British Formula 4 race-winner Tommy Foster will join Alliance Racing in United States F4 for the season-ending US Grand Prix support races at Circuit of the Americas.
The 17-year-old currently races for Arden in British F4, and is eighth in the standings with two podiums to his name. Although mathematically still in contention to finish the season as runner-up, he is unlikely to do so.
Taking place on November 2-3, the US F4 finale clashes with the inaugural FIA Motorsport Games F4 Cup, which a few of the US F4 regulars could be headed to.
Joshua Car has already wrapped up the US F4 title, with second place still up for grabs between Kiko Porto and Christian Brooks.
The USA’s regional F4 championship concluded earlier this month, with 16-year-old Canadian Marco Kacic crowned the winner of the West Coast-based Formula Pro USA F4 championship.
The Doran Motorsports Group driver wrapped up the title at Laguna Seca in July with his seventh win of the season, enabling him to skip the season finale at the same circuit. World Speed Motorsports pair Rayce Dykstra and Kyle Loh were second and third in the standings.
Jose Luiz Muggiati steps up to Italian F4
Ahead of a planned assault on the 2020 season, Brazilian karter Jose Luiz Muggiati will join Cram Motorsport for the final Italian F4 round of 2019 at Monza.
The 16-year-old’s inclusion would make Cram the biggest team on the grid with five cars, increasing the likeliness of the Erba-based squad ended a losing run that stretches back to when the entry-level ACI Sport-organised championship ran to Formula Abarth rules in 2013.
Muggiati has won trophies at a national level in his home country, and is new to single-seater racing.
