BRDC F4 points leader Dalton claims pole at Snetterton

by Peter Allen

BRDC Formula 4 championship leader Jake Dalton has taken pole position for the first race of the Snetterton weekend.

The session took place on a drying track after rain earlier in the morning, and the heavens opened again in the closing moments, with Dalton at the head of the timesheets with a time of 2m10.189s.

That put him 0.073s ahead of James Fletcher, making just his second appearance in F4 this weekend, and 0.086s ahead of fellow two-time race winner Matt Bell.

Falco Wauer claimed fourth spot ahead of Dalton’s nearest rival in the standings, Charlie Robertson. Seb Morris took sixth, ahead of Gustavo Lima and Raoul Hyman, who set the pace in Friday’s test. Pietro Fittipaldi was ninth and Sennan Fielding tenth.
