KMR’s Sport’s Lucas Blakeley took a completely dominant victory in GB4 race two at Silverstone, as Linus Granfors and Alisha Palmowski were involved in an early clash.

Blakeley beat Fortec Motorsports’ poleman Granfors into Copse at the start with Elite Motorsport’s Palmowski slotting in behind them.

Palmowski then drew alongside Granfors on the Hangar Straight, with the latter holding on to second around the outside. They went side-by-side again on the exit of Club but the pair touched, with Palmowski getting sideways before sliding through the gravel.

Granfors continued in second, and Palmowski suffered front wing endplate damage, slipping to fifth behind KMR’s Harry Burgoyne Jr and Fox Motorsport’s Branden Templeton.

The drama allowed Blakeley to build a two-second lead by the end of lap one, and the Esports star continued to romp clear to triumph by a huge 15.449s.

Palmowski wrestled back fourth place from Templeton in the early stages through Chapel, with Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter recovering from a slow start to join the battle.

Baxter soon was shuffled back by Palmowski’s team-mate Finn Harrison and then lost his front wing in a further squabble with Arden’s Leon Wilson who retired moments later.

Granfors meanwhile was struggling with damage to the rear of his car, and he was caught for second by his main two title rivals Burgyone and Palmowski. Burgoyne tried a pass on the outside into Brooklands, with the Swede remaining ahead, and Palmowski then tried to get by Burgoyne into Village a few corners later.

Having closed in behind, Templeton and Harrison both overtook Palmowski, who appeared to have a loose headrest. Harrison then took fourth away from Templeton, who also slipped back behind Palmowski

The order remained the same from there, and Granfors extended his points lead over Burgoyne who came home 0.154s behind in third. Harrison was only 0.3s further behind while Palmowski had to settle for fifth.

Templeton was seventh and three seconds ahead of Fortec’s Jack Taylor, with the female trio of Megan Bruce (Fox) Ava Dobson (VRD) and Chloe Grant (KMR) completing the top 10, the latter finishing well behind after an early pitstop.
