Emil Bernstorff has secured double pole in German F3 qualifying at Nurburgring and will be starting from first on the grid for each of the two races of the weekend, after the reverse-grid race has been cancelled due to lack of time.

Bernstorff set the quickest and the best second-quickest time of all drivers in the session that was postponed from Friday evening due to foggy conditions. Teammate Artem Markelov will line up on the front row alongside him for both races.

It was Performance Racing’s Thomas Jager who set the third fastest time, followed by series leader and fellow ADAC Formel Masters graduate Marvin Kirchhofer. Another Performance driver, John Bryant-Meisner, will start in fifth, with Yannick Mettler taking seventh, behind Nabil Jeffri.

Van Amersfoort’s Gustavo Menezes will line up in eighth, ahead of Matteo Cairoli and teammate Jordi Weckx. Freddy Killensberger will head the Trophy class.

Kirchhofer will start the second race in third, ensuring a 1-2-3 on the grid for Lotus. Bryant-Meisner will join him on the second row, ahead of Jeffri and Jager, while the rest of the top ten remains unchanged from the race one grid. Again, it’s Killensberger who has pole for the Trophy class.
