Belgium, Hungary and Spain join Motorsport Games F4 Cup grid

by Ida Wood

Belgium, Hungary and Spain have become the three latest nations to join the inaugural FIA Motorsport Games Formula 4 Cup.

The one-off competition, taking place at Vallelunga, will utilise KCMG-designed hybrid chassis run centrally by FIA Formula 3 Championship team Hitech GP.

Spanish Formula 4 race-winner Belen Garcia will represent Spain, as previously revealed by Formula Scout.

The 20-year-old, who is also a Telematic Engineering student, is currently 14th in the standings in her first year of car racing and took her sole win in the second race of the season at Navarra.

?This is my first year racing in Formula 4 and being able to race in an event such as the FIA Motorsport Games is above all my expectations for this season,” Garcia said.

She will be joined by series rival and fellow car racing rookie Nicolas Baert on the F4 Cup grid, who will represent Belgium.

Championship graduate Laszlo Toth, who now races in ADAC and Italian F4 with R-ace GP, is Hungary’s entry for the F4 Cup. The teenager scored his first ADAC F4 points in the last race of the season at the Sachsenring.

There are now 10 drivers confirmed for the inaugural running of the F4 Cup.
