Nicolas Beer made the most out of his reverse-grid pole position in race three of ADAC Formel Masters at Nurburgring to take his maiden victory in the series.

Beer made a quick getaway off the line while fellow reverse-grid front row man Mikkel Jensen found himself in a fight with Marvin Dienst, with the Neuhauser driver coming out on top. With Alessio Picariello also making progress, the race suddenly came to a halt after an incident involving Benedikt Gentgen and the two Mucke cars of Hendrik Grapp and Kim-Luis Schramm. The tussle ended with Gentgen’s car upside-down, which caused a safety car period that lasted for around 15 minutes.

At the restart, Beer came under pressure from Dienst, but managed to hold on to the lead. Behind them, championship leader Picariello was on a charge, eventually slotting into third, where his progress was brought to a halt by a feisty Dienst, who denied the Belgian from making up any further positions. As such, the race finished with a Neuhauser 1-2 at the line and Picariello in third.

Another Mucke man, Maximilian Gunther, secured fourth with an excellent stint after the restart that saw him overtake multiple cars, the standout being a great move on both Jensen and Beitske Visser into one corner. Jensen himself finished fifth, with fellow Lotus man Indy Dontje in sixth. Ralph Boschung narrowly bested Fabian Schiller for eighth, while Visser ended up only ninth, losing several places on the last lap. Fellow Red Bull junior Callan O’Keeffe completed the top ten.
