The Atech GP3 team will run under the Bamboo Engineering banner this season after joining forces with the World Touring Car Championship squad.
Having raced in the World Touring Car Championship since 2009, Bamboo will now move into single-seaters having taken over the entry of Atech
The David Hayle-led squad had competed in GP3 under the Atech CRS GP banner since the series began in 2010, but took no wins during that time with a best championship finish of seventh in the inaugural season.
Bamboo will run the new GP3/13 car for the first time at this week?s pre-season test at Estoril.
?We?re thrilled to be competing in one of the worlds finest single seater formulas,? said Bamboo chief Richard Coleman.
?Bamboo Engineering will be looking to make its mark and carve a strong reputation. We can?t wait to get stuck in and make a real impact on our first season in the GP3 Series, with our racing pedigree we?re well prepared to show just what Bamboo Engineering can do.?
Championship head Bruno Michel added: ?We are pleased to welcome Bamboo Engineering to GP3 Series. I believe they can form a very successful partnership with Atech Grand Prix who have been a key part of GP3 since the inaugural season. I am sure with their experience they will be able to be on pace very quickly.?
