Aldo Festante will switch from RP Motorsport to Fortec Motorsports for the third round of the Euroformula Open season at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

The former Italian Formula 4 midfielder is currently ninth in the standings with one top five finish to his name, achieved in the first race at Paul Ricard.

?I had the pleasure to work with Fortec Motorsports during winter testing and I can say I am extremely motivated for this new adventure, I will do my best and try to get the best possible result,” said the Italian-Canadian.

“I want to thank RP Motorsport for everything they gave and taught me during our journey together, but right now I feel the right choice is to take a different path.?

Fortec has run two cars for the first two rounds of the season, with Calan Williams driving one, and Petru Florescu and Raul Guzman sharing the other after Florescu stepped up to European Formula 3 with the team.

RP Motorsport still has three cars, with championship leader Felipe Drugovich joined by fellow Brazilian Guilherme Samaia and reigning Formula Renault Northern European Cup champion Michael Benyahia.
