Colin Kaminsky has announced he will spend a third year with Pabst Racing and a second season in Indy Pro 2000 in 2021.
For the past two years, Kaminsky has been a Pabst driver on the Road to Indy and is still searching for an elusive first win.
In 2019 he came fourth in the USF2000 standings, taking three poles but losing out on third place in the championship on win countback as a result of his best finish only being second, and in IP2000 last year he claimed several podiums as a rookie.
“I’m super excited and fortunate to be back with Pabst Racing for a third year in row thanks to Slick Locks!” said Kaminsky.
“We got really close to tasting victory last season and I am excited to keep growing with the team and putting it all together in 2021.”
As in 2020, Hunter McElrea will be Kaminsky’s team-mate at Pabst this year. With the signing of Kaminsky, the IP2000 grid is now up to 15 cars and with more drivers announcements still to come.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Colin back with us again,” Pabst team owner Augie Pabst said.
“The continuity within the team is at an all-time high and after capturing his first IP2K pole at NJMP last season. I’m confident he is ready to win in 2021!”
Kaminsky’s pre-Road to Indy career in SCCA’s Spec Racer Ford sportscars was also winless, and the closest he has come to a first car racing victory has been in the ultra-competitive IP2000.
