Japanese Yu Kanamaru kicked off the fourth Euroformula Open round of the season as quickest in practice at Silverstone.
Kanamaru, who is sitting third in the standings, recorded his benchmark time in the second session out of three, just like the rest of the field bar Antoni Ptak.
The sophomore driver was more than half a second clear of all the others with Alessio Rovera being his closest chaser.
Campos duo Diego Menchaca and championship leader and third session topper?Konstantin Tereshchenko followed the leaders and ended up ahead of another teammate pairing, Yarin Stern and Tanart Sathienthirakul from West-Tec.
William Barbosa and Andres Saravia were seventh and eighth fastest, while the top ten was completed by Italians Damiano Fioravanti and Leonardo Pulcini.
Vitor Baptista, who is currently sitting second in the standings as Tereschenko’s closest chaser, had a low-key Friday running, and was only 11th fastest.
