Rodin Motorsport has stayed loyal to its 2026 drivers in announcing its first signings for next season’s FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3 championships.
Brando Badoer will step up to F2 for 2027 while his F3 team-mate Pedro Clerot will return for a second season in the third tier, where he will be joined by Formula Regional Europe graduate Reza Seewooruthun.
Badoer, the 20-year-old son of 1992 Formula 3000 champion, Luca Badoer, finished eighth in this year’s standings, with a feature race victory around the streets of Monte Carlo as the undoubted highlight.
He scored a further three podiums, although his season rather tailed off, failing to score a single point in the final five races.
“I’m really happy to be announced as an F2 driver for Rodin Motorsport,” he said. “I’m grateful to the team for the opportunity and the trust they’ve put in me, and after such a great season together, I’m excited to continue this journey.
“I really feel like Rodin is a family, so I’m looking forward to working with the F2 team, building on what we’ve achieved and creating more great moments together.”
Rookie Clerot arguably had the stronger season of the two, finishing with a flourish in Madrid as he followed his maiden win in the first feature race with another podium the following day. Those results, added to three other podiums during the year saw him leapfrog his team-mate to claim sixth in the overall standings, only losing out on a top five finish on countback.
Clerot articulated his happiness at “staying with Rodin for my second year in FIA F3. We’ve built a really strong relationship this season and achieved some great results, improving race after race.
“I’ve felt at home with the team since day one, so continuing this journey together is very special. I believe we have what it takes to fight at the front next season, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Another Rodin internal promotion sees Reza Seewooruthun move up from the team’s FREC squad to F3. The 20-year-old Briton took two podiums in this year’s FREC on the team’s first season in the championship Previously he had raced in GB3, coming fifth in 2025.
“I’m proud to be staying with Rodin Motorsport as I move into F3 next year,” he said. “It’s an honour to make that step with a team I trust. I’m excited for this next chapter, but the next few months are focused on hard work before we get to the season opener.”
Rodin Motorsport Sporting Director Benn Huntingford expressed the team’s delight at continuing with all three drivers.
Badoer has “shown great progress throughout his first season with the team, playing a key role in leading our F3 campaign. His performances have shown what he’s capable of and we’re looking forward to seeing him build on that experience as he continues his career in F2,” he added.
Huntingford emphasized how Clerot has “really impressed the team this year, showing strong pace and making great progress throughout the season. To see him take his maiden win in Madrid was a fantastic way to end the year and a result that reflects the progress he’s made.”
