Dries Van Langendonck won the final race of the weekend to finish the first round of the 2026 British F4 championship top of the order.

Van Langendonck came under pressure from Theo Palmer in the second half of the race, but a spin for the Hitech driver took him out of contention. Rodin Motorsport’s Van Langendonck managed a safety car restart and finished comfortably ahead of second-placed Joseph Smith.

The race started with drama when the fast starting George Proudford-Nalder tapped team-mate Jarrett Clark, sending the latter into a spin. The rest of the field managed to avoid the sideways car, but a few corners later there was more contact further back. Tommy Harfield suffered suspension damage and was almost tipped over as he went over the grass, but managed to land with all four wheels back on the ground.

The safety car was brought out, reducing any lead Van Langendonck had built on the opening lap. On the restart, the main battle was between Smith and Ethan Jeff-Hall for third, but Palmer was able to keep in touch with Van Langendonck.

Palmer set the fastest lap of the race as he closed a small gap to Van Langendonck. He attempted to make a move for the lead but lost control of the car and was sent into a spin and out of the race. The safety car was brought out for a second time to clear his car.

Jeff-Hall was now directly behind Van Langendonck but came under attack from Smith behind before he could challenge for the lead. As the duo battled for position, Van Langendonck pulled out a gap at the front of the order.

Smith found a way past Jeff-Hall, leaving him to battle with Scott Kin Lindblom and recovering Clark. He began to close the gap to van Langendonck but ran out of laps before he could challenge for the lead. Van Langendonck was 0.737s clear at the chequered flag.

Jeff-Hall held onto third ahead of Kin Lindblom, while a small mistake dropped Clark back down the order. The Virtuosi Racing driver was then handed a time penalty for track limits.

Ella Lloyd picked up fifth after a strong start to the race, holding off a sustained attack from Ethan Lennon and Alfie Slater.

Jabar Alsabah, Cole Hewetson and Adam Al Azhari completed the top 10.
