Alessandro Giusti will keep his Williams Racing Academy backing and his MP Motorsport seat for a second FIA Formula 3 season in 2026.

Giusti, the 2022 French Formula 4 champion, stepped up to F3 this year after two multiple race-winning seasons in the Formula Regional European Championship.

He finished 10th in the standings in his rookie F3 campaign with his best results being a pair of back-to-back mid-season podiums: he came third in the Barcelona feature race and then took second in the sprint race at the Red Bull Ring.

“I’m extremely happy to stay with MP Motorsport for a second season in FIA Formula 3,” said Giusti. “I feel really comfortable in this team, having built a very good relationship over the past year. I feel confident for the future as I found a family there.

“We will keep working hard during the winter to come back even stronger in 2026. I can’t wait to be back behind the wheel already!”

Giusti is MP’s second confirmed driver for next year’s F3 series, after the news that the team’s Eurocup-3 leader Mattia Colnaghi will make the step up with Red Bull backing.

“It’s wonderful to be able to announce Alessandro for 2026 straight after our 2025 Formula 3 season ended at Monza this weekend,” said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team principal. “His debut year in F3 has shown all the hallmarks of a quick learner who is set to shine in the all-important second season in the category.”

Williams sporting director Sven Smeets is clear about the target for Giusti’s second season in F3.

“We’re looking forward to seeing Alessandro fight for the title in FIA Formula 3 and hope to see his experience and hard work pay off in 2026,” Smeets said.

“He has made good progress this year, developing well on and off the track. Next season will give him the opportunity to strengthen his skill even further as he progresses through the motorsport ladder.”
