KMR Sport’s Lucas Blakeley took a dominant fourth GB4 victory in race two at Brands Hatch, while second was enough for Linus Granfors to clinch the title.

Blakeley made the better start from the outside of the front row to draw alongside Fortec Motorsports’ polesitter Granfors before sweeping around the outside at Paddock Hill Bend into the lead.

Granfors defended from Blakeley’s team-mate Harry Burgoyne Jr into Druids, but the pair were then picked off by Elite Motorsport’s Finn Harrison who climbed from fifth on the grid to second.

Fox Motorsport’s Branden Templeton then tried to challenge Burgoyne but slid off the road at Sheene Curve, promoting Elite’s Alisha Palmowski to fifth.

There was more drama before the first lap was completed, as Harrison went off at the final corner and tumbled down the order.

Palmowski then wrestled third away from Burgoyne on lap two with a switchback move out of Hawthorns before the action at the front settled down.

Blakeley, meanwhile, built a six-second lead over the first two laps and then extended it by a further second. He controlled the gap for the remainder of the 13-lap contest to finish 7.7s clear of Granfors.

Palmowki came home two seconds further behind to complete the podium, while Burgoyne was fourth ahead of Leon Wilson who recovered from a slow start to take fifth.

Harrison and Templeton made up ground following their opening lap excursions to sixth and seventh ahead of Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter. Fortec’s Jack Taylor ran seventh early on before slipping to ninth ahead of KMR’s Chloe Grant.
