Hitech GP has signed single-seater rookie Reza Seewooruthun for next year’s British and United Arab Emirates Formula 4 seasons.
The 17-year-old was third in the entry-level Ginetta Junior sportscar series this year, taking three of his campaign’s four wins in one weekend at Brands Hatch, and before that contested the 2022 Ginetta Junior Winter Series where he made the podium.
In karting he was 65th in the British championship for Rotax Junior karts last year.
“I’m excited to be partnering with Hitech in the UAE and British F4 championship next season,” said Seewooruthun.
“Working with a world-class team is a real privilege. In the short time we have been working together, they’ve helped me to further develop my skills as a driver. I’m feeling confident in the car ahead of what will be my single-seater racing debut.”
He will be team-mate to Deagen Fairclough in British F4, and Seb Murray in F4 UAE. Hitech has also run Gabriel Stilp in British F4 post-season testing, after he raced for the team this year in the championship.
“We are delighted to welcome Reza into the team for 2024,” said Hitech’s F4 team manager Dominic Stott.
“After following his progress closely this year and after a number of successful test days with us, he has proved to be a great addition to the team and we are looking forward to being a part of the next step in his career. The UAE championship will be ideal preparation for Reza to hit the ground running when the British F4 season kicks off in April.”
