GB3 race-winner Daniel Mavlyutov has signed with Global Racing Service to contest a part-time campaign in Eurocup-3.

The 19-year-old Russian will join the team for this weekend’s round at Zandvoort, make his second appearance at Estoril on September 30/October 1 and then also be part of its line-up for the Barcelona season finale on November 11/12.

None of those dates clash with Mavlyutov’s campaign in GB3 with Hillspeed. He currently sits 22nd in the standings, but with two reversed-grid race wins, and takes the place of Cenyu Han in GRS’s line-up for this weekend.

“It is great to have the chance to return to GRS in what will be my Eurocup-3 debut in Zandvoort this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing the whole team again and doing my best around this challenging track,” said Mavlyutov.

“We are delighted at GRS Team to receive Daniel in the team again,” GRS’s team manager Josep Trinidad added.

“We have previously worked with him, and there was an excellent feeling and dynamic. We are aware of the significant progress he has gone through in 2023, and we are confident that there will be valuable progression racing together in Eurocup-3.”

Mavlyutov made his car racing debut in Formula Ford 1600 in 2021 to get the necessary licence signatures needed to move into Formula 4 for 2022. He reached the progression race at both the FFord Festival and Walter Hayes Trophy.

His primary programme last year was British F4, where he came 15th in the standings with Hitech GP and had a best finish of ninth. He also contested the last three Spanish F4 rounds with GRS, and had a best finish of 17th.

At the start of 2023 he stepped up to Formula Regional Middle East with Hitech, and was 32nd in the championship with no points.

GRS will be expanding to two cars in Eurocup-3 this weekend, as Jesse Carrasquedo Jr also joins them. The Mexican is currently 16th in the Spanish F4 standings, and was 18th in the F4 United Arab Emirates at the start of 2023. He was 11th in Danish F4 two years ago, and ninth in NACAM F4 last year.

Palou Motorsport is expanding to four cars with the addition of Jorge Campos and Georgis Markogiannis to its Eurocup-3 line-up. Campos has previously raced in Spanish F4, while Markogiannis steps up from Italian F4.

At Drivex School, William Karlsson will be replaced at Zandvoort by David Morales. Karlsson, the 2021 Formula Nordic champion, had a best finish of eighth from the first three rounds.

Morales is currently 15th in GB3, and earlier this year claimed his first single-seater win in Formula Regional Oceania. He was 22nd in GB3 in 2022, 18th in British F4 in 2021 and ninth in NACAM F4 in 2020.
