Cooper Webster and Evans GP scored their maiden GB4 victory by controlling Saturday’s opening race at Snetterton from pole.
The Australian led away at the start and pulled an early 1.2-second buffer to Kevin Mills Racing’s Tom Mills. Despite initially being roughly matched by Mills, Webster edged further clear in the second half of the 10-lap encounter to triumph by 3.040s.
Fortec Motorsports’ Colin Queen remained close behind Mills throughout, coming home 0.309s adrift of the GB4 points leader in third.
Esports star Lucas Blakeley made a slow getaway from fourth and slipped back to eighth, and was further hampered by a spin at Riches on lap two – and the slicks-and-wings debutant eventually finished 11th.
Harry Burgoyne Jr scored his best result so far in fourth for Graham Brunton Racing, edging Fox Motorsport’s Liam McNeilly by 0.2s.
Fortec’s Ruhaan Alva was a further six seconds adrift in sixth, while Jeremy Fairbairn was seventh on his debut for the GBR squad after a mid-season team switch. Jack Clifford was eighth for KMR ahead of Sid Smith and Aditya Kulkarni.
