Prema’s Frederik Vesti started the fourth Formula Regional European Championship weekend of the season with the fastest time in free practice.

The championship leader was over a third of a second clear of Raul Guzman, whose DR Formula by RP Motorsport team-mate Igor Fraga topped the second session and ended up fourth overall behind Vesti’s team-mate Enzo Fittipaldi.

Sophia Floersch and Marcos Siebert were very close to Fraga’s pace, and like the Brazilian were the frontrunners in the slower afternoon session.

Siebert’s US Racing team-mate David Schumacher was seventh, ahead of series returnee Matteo Nannini. The Scuderia DF Corse by Corbetta was ineligible to score points on his debut at Misano due to being 15, but will now be a classified entrant.

Olli Caldwell was an out-of-character ninth for Prema, with ScoRace Team’s Sharon Scolari taking her usual place at the foot of the order. Although rain was forecast during practice, none fell over the two sessions.
