Vlad Lomko will remain with US Racing in ADAC Formula 4 for a second season after a race-winning rookie campaign in 2020.

The 16-year-old finished sixth in the points with two wins last year, both achieved in rainy conditions, and also contested a handful of races in Italian F4. He will make select appearances in the Italian series again in 2021.

He made his single-seater debut in 2019 with a one-off appearance in French F4, while also driving for Kart Republic in OK karts.

“I am happy to finally confirm that I will start again with US Racing in this year’s Formula 4 season,” said Lomko of his 2021 deal.

“I have learned a lot in my rookie season with US Racing and was able to win two races in ADAC F4. I think I have developed myself in many points and am very happy to extend the work together with US Racing to develop myself as a race driver.

“I can’t wait now to start in the season 2021.”

US Racing’s team principal Gerhard Ungar added: “We are very happy that Vlad will be part of US Racing also in the 2021 race season. I think Vlad made the right decision to start again in the F4 championship.

“With this second season, Vlad will develop himself as a professional race driver and will implement what he learned in his first F4 season.

“I think his two victories in 2020 showed his potential and we are looking forward for more successful races in 2021, if everything fits together, I’m sure we will be able to fight for the championship.”
