Noah Stromsted will make the full-time step up to FIA Formula 3 next year with Trident, after debuting in the championship a month ago.
The 17-year-old Dane drove for Campos Racing in the season finale at Monza, and finished 17th and 23rd in his two races.
His primary programme this year has been with Race Performance Motorsport in Formula Regional Europe, where he has been runner-up in four races and currently leads the rookie classification in the standings by sitting sixth overall.
“I am very happy to join Trident for my debut season in the 2025 FIA F3. Their success the past years speaks for itself, I will work very hard to be competitive since the beginning of the season and help the team as much as possible with the development of the new car,” said Stromsted.
Prior to FRegional, Stromsted spent three years in Formula 4. He was Danish championship runner-up as a single-seater rookie in 2021, did six Spanish championship races in 2022 as he had to wait until he was old enough to race in it, then was seventh in the standings last year and ninth in F4 United Arab Emirates.
“We are extremely happy to announce Noah Strømsted in our line-up for the 2025 season,” said Trident’s team manager Giacomo Ricci.
“We had the opportunity to evaluate the Danish driver both on our test car and on our simulator and we immediately had excellent feedback. Despite being a very young driver, he is already very mature from our point of view. Noah was the best rookie of FREC in 2024.
“He is a young guy, with great potential and with a great margin for growth. We are really proud to have him on board our team competing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship and we are convinced that he will be able to be among the key players of the category in his rookie season.”
