The second F3 Open qualifying session of the Spa-Francorchamps weekend saw Sandy Stuvik repeat his performance from yesterday as he took another pole position.
Nelson Mason proved to be Stuvik’s main threat during the session, however, as the timer reached zero, the Canadian was 0.4s behind the Thai driver.
Ed Jones also repeated his Saturday result in third, beating Vicky Piria for position by only 0.014s. Alex Toril, whose consistent pointscoring run came to an abrupt end on Saturday, will start from fifth, while BVM Racing’s Mario Marasca was sixth fastest.
Santiago Urrutia and Gerardo Nieto will share the fourth row of the grid, with the top ten completed by Yarin Stern and Artur Janosz.
The Copa class pole position was clinched by the aforementioned Mexican Nieto, who beat Che One Lim and Cameron Twynham by 0.5s and 0.9s respectively.
