Dzhon Simonyan will be making his Formula Abarth debut this weekend at Adria, replacing Aku Pellinen at GSK for what was described as a last-minute switch.
The 1991-born Russian junior has little previous experience in single-seaters, with this year’s Formula Renault Alps campaign being his first foray into major European racing. In the four races so far with GSK in Alps, Simonyan has scored the best finish of 14th.
Meanwhile, Pellinen sits in fourth in the Formula Abarth main standings, with the best finish of fourth in round one.
