Sacha Bondarev has been confirmed in Prema’s Italian Formula 4 line-up for 2025 after debuting with the team this year.
The 15-year-old Ukrainian is a junior driver of the Williams Formula 1 team, and combined karting with cars through 2024.
His success in the former was threatened by a growth spurt that added to his weight, and so the switch to cars came at just the right time. He contested the last two Italian F4 rounds with Prema at Barcelona and Monza, and came 30th in the standings.
“I’m super happy to continue with Prema for the 2025 Italian F4 season,” said Bondarev. “It was amazing to learn everything about the championship and the team during my first 2 rounds, and I hope we can soon have some really great results with the team!”
Bondarev won the CIK-FIA European Karting championship title in 2023 for OK-Junior karts and came fifth in Champions of the Future, then stepped up to OK karts. He won the WSK Champions Cup at the Senior level, and was WSK Super Master Series runner-up.
“It is always a pleasure to welcome a new driver for his full-time debut in F4 and even more so when, like Sascha, he came up within our karting ranks with such impressive results,” said Prema founder Angelo Rosin.
“We already spotted his potential in his two F4 rounds with us this year and we hope to help him to fully maximize it in 2025.”
Bondarev is one of the first drivers to sign up for the 2025 Italian F4 season.
