There are multiple changes to Formula Regional Middle East and Formula 4 United Arab Emirates’ grids as the two series return to action at Dubai Autodrome this weekend.
Yas Marina Circuit hosted FRME and F4 UAE’s first two rounds on back-to-back weekends earlier this month, and round three takes place on the Dubai track’s Grand Prix layout.
In FRME, MP Motorsport and Sainteloc Racing will be fielding updated line-ups for this weekend.
MP has confirmed that 19-year-old Italian racer Francesco Braschi, who came fifth in Eurocup-3 and 27th in FRME last year, will replace Valerio Rinicella for the remaining three rounds of the season. Sainteloc meanwhile has only provided confirmation for this weekend, with Pedro Clerot and Matteo De Palo being replaced by Jose Garfias and Noah Stromsted.
Garfias was 17th in GB3 and did three FRegional European Championship rounds in 2021, then the 19-year-old Mexican spent a year on the sidelines before returning to action in Eurocup-3 last year where he came fourth in the standings with MP.
Danish F4 race-winner Stromsted will be racing in FREC later this year with Race Performance Motorsport. The 16-year-old got two weekends of category experience in the championship last year, and he knows the Emirati circuits having come ninth in F4 UAE at the start of 2023.
Alvise Rodella has turned his part-time 2024 F4 UAE campaign with Xcel Motorsport into a full-time effort, and he sits 12th in the standings after the first two rounds, while Jules Caranta has joined Sainteloc’s line-up for this weekend and takes the place of Ferrari junior Aurelia Nobels.
Caranta had originally signed up to do just the opening round of the season with R-ace GP, but after scoring on his debut weekend he decided to stay with the team for a second event and another points finish put him 13th in the standings.
