Alessio Rovera was in a class of his own in the Formula Abarth qualifying sessions at Vallelunga, taking pole by multiple seconds both times among difficult weather conditions.
In qualifying one, Rovera was followed by Aku Pellinen and Michele Beretta. Torino Motorsport’s Luis Michael Dorrbecker followed, ahead of Sergey Trofimov and Simone Iaquinta, with Sabino de Castro rounding out the top seven.
The gap between first and second was even bigger in session two, as Rovera beat Beretta to first. Loris Spinelli took third ahead of Dorrbecker, who edged out Sergey Trofimov. De Castro was sixth this time, with Yuta Shiraishi posting the seventh best time.
