Rodin Motorsport has completed its 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship line-up with the signing of Piotr Wisnicki.
The 20-year-old Pole will be embarking on his fifth year in single-seater racing, although he only raced part-time in 2023.
He graduated from karting in 2020, racing for Jenzer Motorsport in Italian Formula 4 and coming 19th in the standings with two points finishes. Wisnicki missed the last two rounds, but did a full season in 2021 and although he scored more he slipped to 23rd in the points table.
For 2022 he made an upwards move by joining KIC Motorsport’s Formula Regional European Championship line-up, and he came 35th in the standings in what was a points-free campaign. Another upwards step followed in 2023, this time to F3 with PHM Racing by Charouz. But Wisnicki only did the first four rounds and finished no higher than 18th in his eight races.
“I’m pleased to be able to announce that I’m joining Rodin Motorsport for the upcoming season,” said Wisnicki.
“I’ve already raced in the championship so that’s given me a really good understanding going into this year; I’m looking forward to putting everything I’ve learned in the past into this season. It’s great to be joining the team, I’ve been working closely with them over the past few weeks, and everything looks great, so I think we’re going to have a good year together.”
Alongside Wisnicki at Rodin, the team formerly known as Carlin, are GB3 graduates Callum Voisin and Joseph Loake.
“Piotr had a part season racing in the championship last year and despite his limited track time, he’s learned a lot from this valuable time behind the wheel,” Rodin’s F3 team manager Sam Waple said.
“I’m really looking forward to working with him this season, I’m sure he’s going to be a great asset to the team and an exciting driver to watch on track.”
