Lotus junior Esteban Ocon and current NEC champion Jake Dennis dominated the practice sessions for the series’ round two at Nurburgring, taking 1-2 in both runs.
RSF-backed Dennis was quickest in the opening session, beating Ocon by 0.003s. Another Lotus junior, Oscar Tunjo, was third after missing round one while the Fortec pair of Mikko Pakari and Matt Parry rounding out the top five. Series rookies Gustav Malja and Alex Baron beat the more experienced Andrea Pizzitola and Aurelien Panis, while Ed Jones rounded out the top ten.
Ocon returned to the top spot in practice two, beating Dennis and Pakari. Parry was fourth ahead of Baron, while Tunjo took sixth ahead of Roman Mavlanov. Panis was ahead of Pizzitola this time, while Jones took tenth, repeating his result from session one.
Fortec’s Jack Aitken missed the practice sessions but will be there for the qualifying tomorrow.
