Nikola Tsolov will stay with Campos Racing to step up to Formula 2 for the 2026 season.

The Bulgarian driver joined Campos and became a Red Bull junior ahead of his third season in FIA Formula 3 in 2025 and would finish runner-up in the championship, taking wins in the Bahrain sprint race and Monaco feature race.

He had previously won the Spanish Formula 4 title with Campos as a car racing rookie in 2022, before jumping up to F3 and spending his first two seasons in the category with ART Grand Prix as part of the Alpine Academy.

“I am extremely happy to take the next step in my career and move up to Formula 2 with Campos Racing once again,” Tsolov said.

“Together we have worked very hard and achieved success in both Spanish F4 and FIA Formula 3, which gives me great confidence heading into next season. This is another step closer to my dream, and I will be pushing harder than ever to deliver strong results.”

Campos has run all Red Bull junior pairings in F2 for the past two seasons, fielding Isack Hadjar and Pepe Marti last year before Arvid Lindblad stepped up to replace the Formula 1-bound Hadjar. Lindblad is being linked with a graduation to the Racing Bulls F1 team for 2026, potentially replacing Hadjar should he be promoted to Red Bull’s senior team.

“We are extremely proud to continue working with Nikola for another year,” said team principal Adrian Campos Jr.

“He is very much one of our own, having taken his very first steps in single-seaters with Campos Racing.

“In the two seasons he has raced with us, he has been a champion and a runner-up, which are clear credentials of his outstanding talent.

“A Formula 2 car is, of course, another level, but despite his youth he already has a wealth of single-seater experience, displays great maturity, and we are confident he will also make his mark in FIA Formula 2.”
