Ed Jones enjoyed a dominant lights-to-flag win in the Jerez F3 Open Winter Series race, as he got off the line quickest and kept Nelson Mason at a safe distance throughout the entire race.
It was Brit Hector Hurst who was poised to complete the podium behind the Team West-Tec duo, but a mechanical failure on lap nine prevented him from finishing the race. With his teammate out, it was Alexey Chuklin who finished third.
Series debutant Vicky Piria enjoyed a strong first showing in fourth, with Sandy Stuvik rounding up the top five, as Valeria Carballo was out of the race after lap seven. Andres Saravia and Artur Janosz were the only remaining main class drivers to finish in the top ten (in sixth and eight respectively), while Igor Urien, Alex Toril and Richard Gonda completed the Copa podium.
