Arvid Lindblad scored his second win of the weekend in the third and final Italian Formula 4 championship race at Misano.
The Red Bull junior was kept honest for much of the race by his McLaren-backed Prema team-mate Ugo Ugochukwu as well as US Racing driver Zachary David after the top three kept their positions at the start.
At half distance, Lindblad’s lead was just 0.6 seconds over Ugochukwu with David the same gap back in third after posting the fastest lap.
Lindblad was able to up his pace thereafter, however, setting a string of fastest laps himself on his way to taking victory by 2.731s.
His championship lead is now 48 points over Ugochukwu, who set a fastest lap of his own late on, only for David to go fastest of all on the very last lap as he broke the Prema stranglehold on the podium places this weekend.
James Wharton dropped back considerably from the top three in the first half of the race and was under pressure from Kacper Sztuka before going off track and falling to the rear of the field.
Sztuka ultimately took fourth comfortably ahead of Tuukka Taponen. Rashid Al Dhaheri and Ivan Domingues got ahead of Niko Lacorte to finish sixth and seventh respectively, with Alfio Spina and Akshay Bohra rounding out the top 10.
Brando Badoer stalled in fourth place on the grid at the start but quickly fought back towards the points, only to collide with Valentin Kluss over 10th place and have to retire to the pits with suspension damage.
