Leo Robinson will swap JHR Developments for Hitech GP as he spends a second season in British Formula 4 next year.

The Anglo-Algerian has been racing in F4 since 2023, when he joined the Danish championship halfway through the season.

He finished second or third in all 10 of the races he contested with STEP Motorsport, aged 14, putting him fourth in the standings. His maiden British F4 campaign featured three times as many races and only six podiums, but three of those were wins in reversed-grid races. Robinson came sixth in the standings.

“I am delighted to be starting a new chapter racing with Hitech in 2025,” said Leo Robinson. “It will be my GCSE year which gives me a lot to focus on – but I know which challenge I am looking forward to most!”

Before starring in single-seaters, Robinson won the Italian championship for OK Junior karts in 2022 and came sixth in the entry-level Ginetta Junior sportscar series in 2023.

“It’s great to have Leo join Hitech for 2025. We have followed his progress throughout the last season and he has proven that he has the speed to be at the front challenging for wins,” Hitech’s British F4 team manager Dominic Stott added.

“Leo is still one of the youngest drivers on the grid but with a year in the championship already under his belt and plenty of preparation time over the next few months, we’re confident of another strong season for Leo and the team.”
