G4 Racing has announced Jett Bowling will join its Formula Regional European Championship line-up for the remainder of the season.
The 18-year-old American [pictured top, rear-left of frame] will make his debut in this weekend’s round at Barcelona, then contest the Monza season finale a month later.
Last year he did two thirds of the United States Formula 4 season and came 30th in the standings with one point, then stepped up to FRegional at the beginning of 2024.
He came 12th in the Oceania championship for Kiwi Motorsport, with three ninth places being his best results, then joined the team in the Americas championship where its entries are co-run with Team Crosslink. With one round to go he is in contention to be title runner-up, sitting 23.5 points off second in the standings and with a tally of seven podiums that includes two second places.
“Words can’t describe my excitement to race in FREC. I’m delighted to partner with G4 Racing; I know I’ll be in good hands,” said Bowling.
“It’ll be a world of firsts for me, with push-to-pass, new tracks, and I’ve never even been to Europe before. I’m blessed to have this opportunity and I’m ready to show what I can do while getting an experience of a lifetime.”
G4’s sporting and technical manager Adrian Munoz added: “Joining the championship during the season is never an easy task, but we believe Jett will adapt quickly to the new environment. Coming from FRegional Americas gives him a solid foundation, even though the car, tracks, and tyres will be new to him. His performance in America gives us confidence that he has a strong baseline to build on and learn as much as possible in FREC.”
