Indy Nxt regular Nolan Allaer will begin his 2026 by stepping down the single-seater ladder to Formula Regional Oceania with Giles Motorsport.
The 23-year-old American has spent the last two years racing in Indy Nxt with HMD Motorsports, coming 19th in his incomplete rookie campaign which ended four races earlu then 16th this season after missing the final race.
He has had four top-10 finishes, with eighth place his best race result and also his best starting position.
Allaer had jumped up to single-seaters’ second tier in 2024 from Formula Continental, in which he was the SCCA National Runoff winner two years running and raced against his father, while also being busy in entry-level machinery as he competed in Formula Ford 1600 and its American counterpart category.
He was sixth in the 2023 BRSCC National FFord championship when racing in Britain, won the National Runoff in Formula F that year and was fourth in the 2022 F1600 Championship Series.
“I’m honoured to be able to compete in this historic and successful championship,” said Allaer. “I will be aiming to adapt quickly to the new car and to fight at the front of the field. In simple terms I will be aiming to improve with every session in the car.”
He will be team-mate to GB4 graduate Jack Taylor at Giles for four weekends, since the 2026 FRegional Oceania season will be the first using a shortened calendar that means it switches from holding championship status to being an FIA Regional Trophy.
