Hitech GP has completed its FIA Formula 3 Championship line-up for 2025 with the signing of Joshua Dufek.

The London-born Austrian driver will be entering his second full season in the series after contesting the 2023 campaign with AIX Racing. He scored one point in the final race of the year at Monza, putting him 28th in the standings.

Dufek debuted in single-seaters in 2020 when he came fourth in Spanish Formula 4 with MP Motorsport, before finishing seventh in both the Italian and German F4 championships the following year with Van Amersfoort Racing.

He stepped up to the Formula Regional European Championship with VAR for 2022 – via three rounds in the Asian series with Hitech – and finished ninth in the standings, just behind the best rookie Leonardo Fornaroli. But another season with VAR in 2023 ended four rounds early as he dabbled in Euroformula with Motopark, where he won a race, and made his F3 debut with Campos at the final round of the season.

“We’re very happy to welcome Joshua back to Hitech after he was part of the team’s Formula Regional Asian campaign in 2022,” said F3 team manager Paul Bellringer. “He knows Hitech well and that familiar environment will be of benefit to him as he embarks on his second full season in Formula 3. He drove for us in the end of season tests in October and we were very pleased with his performances.

“Together with Martinius Stenshorne and Gerrard Xie I think we can make another strong bid for both championship titles.”
