Gunther leads the way in free practice at Zandvoort

Championship front runner Maximilian Gunther?recorded the fastest time in the practice session for the ADAC Formel Masters on Friday afternoon at Zandvoort.

The young German went top with about fifteen minutes to go, edging out Lotus driver Joel Eriksson. Gunther would then improve on that time once again to remain top for the rest of the session.

Eriksson would have to settle for second just ahead of Polish driver?Igor Walilko, who led the session early on before being pipped by Eriksson.

Championship leader?Mikkel Jensen came home fourth ahead of Lotus’?Ralph Boschung and?Dennis Marschall.?Kim-Luis Schramm?was seventh ahead this morning’s leader?Tim Zimmermann, with Mucke duo?Marvin Dienst and?Philip Hamprecht rounding out the top ten in ninth and tenth respectively.

The session brought an end to Friday’s action, with the drivers returning on Saturday morning at 9:05 local time for qualifying ahead of race one at 13:35.
