Formula Regional Middle East will race in Qatar next season, while Formula 4 Middle East will do the same but revert to being F4 United Arab Emirates.

This year marked only the second time in FRME history that the championship had raced outside of the UAE, with Qatari circuit Losail hosting the fifth and final round.

It has the season finale slot again for 2026, except FRME switches from being a championship to an FIA Regional Trophy.

Yas Marina Circuit will host rounds one and two on January 16-18 and January 23-25, then round three will be at Dubai Autodrome on January 30-February 1. The Losail finale will not take place on a weekend, since it is scheduled for February 11-13.

F4 UAE will be on the support bill of all four events, which will make up the entirety of its calendar. Like FRME, its pre-season testing will be on January 13-14. It will also be switching from championship to regional trophy status, and undergoing a name change after one year as F4 Middle East.

Launched in 2016, F4 UAE only left its titular country twice in its first eight seasons as Kuwait Motor Town held two rounds in 2023. For the ninth season this year it headed abroad again, to Losail, and changed name to F4 Middle East to reflect that.

While it reverts to its original name, China-based promoter Top Speed has decided to retain its other UAE-only F4 series which runs under the Formula Trophy name.

This ran as a non-championship event in 2016, ’19, 2021, ’22, ’23, usually in support of Formula 1’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, then was expanded to become a three-round series last year.

Its 2025 season will start at Dubai Autodrome on November 28-30, support the Abu Dhabi GP on December 5-7 then race at Yas Marina again on December 11-13.
